Scottsdale Knee Pain Chiropractor

Your knees carry a lot — absorbing impact, supporting your weight, keeping you moving through your day. When they hurt, almost everything gets harder. And when the pain is constant, it starts to wear on more than just your body.

At Woolston Wellness Center, we help patients with knee pain find real, lasting relief — not by masking the pain with medication, but by understanding and treating what’s actually causing it.

How Chiropractic Care Helps Knee Pain

Knee pain is often connected to how the rest of your body is moving. Imbalances in your hips, spine, or ankles can place uneven stress on your knees — and until those are addressed, the pain tends to keep coming back.

When you come in, we’ll look at the full picture: not just your knee, but how your whole body is loading and moving. From there, we may use gentle joint adjustments to restore proper alignment, targeted exercises to strengthen the muscles supporting your knee, soft tissue therapy to ease inflammation and tension, and guidance on movement habits that protect the joint rather than aggravate it.

Our goal is always to get to the source of your pain — so you can stop managing it and start recovering from it.

Common Causes of Knee Pain

Osteoarthritis — The most common cause of knee pain, especially in adults over 50. As cartilage wears down over time, the joint becomes stiff and sore — often most noticeable first thing in the morning. Chiropractic care can help preserve mobility and reduce discomfort as the condition progresses.

Ligament injuries — Common in sports like soccer, basketball, and football. Swelling, instability, or a sensation that your knee is catching or locking may point to ligament damage that needs proper assessment.

Knee bursitis — Inflammation of the fluid-filled sacs that cushion the knee joint, causing a locking or stiffening sensation unrelated to injury or arthritis.

Torn cartilage (meniscus) — Often caused by a sudden twist or trauma. Depending on the severity, chiropractic care can help improve stability and strength around the tear and support the healing process.

Dislocated kneecap — Painful and often recurring once it happens. Strengthening the surrounding muscles is a key part of preventing future episodes.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

If you’ve never seen a chiropractor for knee pain before, here’s what the process actually looks like.

We start with a thorough evaluation. Before any treatment happens, we’ll sit down and talk through your knee pain in detail — when it started, what makes it better or worse, your activity level, and any relevant history. We’ll then assess your range of motion, strength, and how your knee, hip, and lower back are working together. This gives us a clear picture of what’s actually driving your symptoms.

We explain what we find. You’ll leave the first visit understanding what’s going on with your knee and why. We’ll walk you through the findings, outline what we think is causing your pain, and explain the treatment approach we’d recommend. No guesswork, no vague reassurances.

Treatment is gentle and targeted. We use the Impulse iQ instrument for precise, low-force adjustments — so there’s no aggressive manipulation of an already-inflamed joint. Depending on what we find, we may also incorporate soft tissue work, therapeutic exercises, or traction. Most patients are surprised by how comfortable the first treatment is.

You’ll know what to expect going forward. At the end of your first visit, we’ll give you a realistic sense of the care plan — how many visits we’d typically recommend for your type of case, what progress tends to look like, and what you can do between visits to support your recovery.
